The shutter shuddered to think what might dart out the window if Dorothy would only lift the latch three times.
Dusty, grimy Dorothy whimpered in bed at the thought of a shuddered shutter that needs its latch lifted three times–or maybe she was whimpering whimpers of joy because yesterday he didn’t and today he does. Or rather yesterday she thought he didn’t and today she understood he had all along the quietly flowing Don flowing home to the sea. Dorothy and Don made quite a pair whether placid or plastered. Plaster of Topeka was not quite as effective as plaster of Madrid, but it would do to keep the house together after its return from the Dark Side of the Rainbow. The Munchkins had graduated to Lilliputians, and the Lilliputians to Hobbits, although Gulliver and Gandalf had nothing on the little man behind the curtain.
Hard to tell if some famous animation company could make something of a character called “Professor Marvel”.
